Support Groups
Support groups bring together people who have problems in common, providing a way to connect with each other. Through giving and receiving support, you may feel less isolated and be able to develop better coping skills. The Scleroderma Care Foundation holds Support Group meetings every five weeks. At these meetings, we aim to not only bring patients, their families, and closest supporters together through more effective networking, but provide useful and applicable information on better dealing and living with Scleroderma.

By simply meeting with other patients, with similar health experiences and conditions, you may feel less alone or isolated and gain a sense of belonging or fitting in. Shared problem solving may help you find new solutions or coping skills. Compassion and empathy can help see you through a crisis. In addition, you may feel better about yourself if you're able to offer support and help to others.
